Compared with the segment with a ring width of 1.2m, the use of a segment with a ring width of 1.5m has the following advantages: on the one hand, it reduces the number of circumferential joints by 20%, reduces the probability of water leakage in the joints, and improves the waterproof quality of the tunnel; On the other hand, the usage of water-stop materials and connecting bolts is reduced; in addition, the assembly time can be reduced by 20%, and the construction speed is improved.
